The Greybeard Guild is a late-night ramble through fifty years of Dungeons & Dragons, hosted by two veteran dungeon masters who’ve seen more editions than most folks have had hot dinners. GetOffMacCloud and DMGeezerJim dig into lore, tactics, worldbuilding, and the strange, wonderful detritus of tabletop history with the charm of two old warhorses who’ve earned their creaking chairs. It’s part campfire story, part cranky uncle wisdom, and entirely fueled by a love for the game’s past, perfect for anyone who enjoys hearing how the hobby really got here, where here is, and where it might be headed next.

a burgeoning resident lore hound. He's someone who’s spent far too many years digging through old rulebooks, boxed sets, and source guides for the sheer joy of knowing what changed between editions. He has a knack for connecting modern D&D conversations to the odd little corners of the game’s past, never mind whether anyone asked or not. MacCloud’s insights are sharp, his memory suspiciously good for his age, and his delivery seasoned with just enough dry humor to remind everyone he’s been around long enough to have opinions about ascending armor class and power creep. He keeps the show grounded, informed, and occasionally derailed in the best possible way.

Greetings all, I am Jim. I have a very long history with gaming; starting with BECMI Dungeons and Dragons and continuing through all five editions. I am currently managing several long-running 5th edition games and have been DM’ing the 5e system for six years.. I have been playing tabletop games since I was 11 years old, both RPG and tactical/strategy, including D&D, Twilight:2000, Cyberpunk 2020, Battletech, Squad Leader, Star Fleet Battles (and many more). Currently I am a paid GM, running about 20 games a month at a "FLGS"
One of my favorite things to talk about is the vast and rich history of our hobby, and I enjoy sharing ideas and resources from the history of the game with current players. I believe that there is plenty for each of us to learn about D&D, and I enjoy sharing ideas and spreading knowledge about our hobby.
